In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes mentioned that Chelsea<\/a> are keeping a keen eye on Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford, who is currently playing on loan at Barcelona. It is understood that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting the English talent next year.<\/p>\n

Rashford\u2019s Impressive Loan Spell In La Liga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rashford has enjoyed a good loan spell at the Catalan club as he has managed to put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 28-year-old scored six goals and picked up nine assists in 16 matches for Barcelona this season in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The English sensation has proven his worth in the opposition half based on his average of 4.37 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga<\/a>. He has kept 35.9% of his attempts on target. Rashford has even distributed the ball accurately from the left flank, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 78.8% in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at his parent club, Manchester United<\/a>, will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it would be difficult for Barcelona to snap him up on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

Should Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca Move In For Rashford?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rashford is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent\u2019s penalty area. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and is a good passer as well.<\/p>\n

The English talent has chipped in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. Rashford is primarily a left-winger, but can also fill in as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to settle into life at Chelsea<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We can expect Rashford to add more firepower to Enzo Maresca\u2019s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the West London club in the coming years.<\/p>\n
