Manchester City welcomed Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Mancunian giants made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Alejandro Grimaldo found the back of the net. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

The Mancunian club conceded the second goal in the 54th minute when Patrick Schick got his name on the scoresheet. The contest ended with Man City suffering a disappointing 3-0 loss at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player performed during the clash against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.<\/p>\n

GK: James Trafford \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He failed to make a save in the game and conceded two goals tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Abdukodir Khusanov \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Khusanov made a handful of important interceptions inside his half but offered very little in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

He made a couple of crucial clearances at the back, but failed to keep things solid defensively during the game.<\/p>\n

Ait-Nouri failed to impress during his time on the pitch and was replaced at half-time.<\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez managed to shine at times on both halves.<\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and put in a lackluster display in the middle of the park.<\/p>\n
