In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid are keeping a keen eye on Bayern Munich<\/a> defender Dayot Upamecano. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the France international to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next year.<\/p>\n

Upamecano\u2019s Impressive Form In The Bundesliga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Upamecano has enjoyed a good run of form at the German club after he produced a string of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The French talent has been involved in 17 matches for Bayern this season, scoring one goal in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old has been a rock at the back and deserves credit for making 15 tackles, six blocks, seven interceptions and 22 clearances in the Bundesliga<\/a>. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from inside his half, based on his pass success rate of 92.1% in the top tier of German football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Bavarian club will run out at the end of this campaign. Hence, Los Blancos could potentially land him on a free transfer next summer.<\/p>\n

Will Upamecano Be A Good Choice For Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Upamecano is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

Standing at 1.86m, the French sensation can use his strong frame to win his fair share of aerial duels. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga<\/a> if Los Blancos manage to snap him up next summer.<\/p>\n
