The 4-1 home defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday acted as a wake-up call for David Moyes, according to reports. Everton sit 14th in the Premier League, just four points away from the European spots. However, Moyes believes he needs reinforcements in January to achieve his goals and plans to request financial backing from the Friedkin Group.<\/p>\n

Transfer journalist Alan Nixon<\/a> reports that Moyes wants to sign Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson, who began his career at Everton. The 28-year-old received positive reviews during his time at the club, but moved to Wigan Athletic in 2019 because Leighton Baines and Lucas Digne were ahead of him.<\/p>\n

He has played only three Premier League matches this season due to a knee injury, but Everton are still considering a January move. Nixon suggests that a \u00a325 million offer might convince Fulham, although Robinson\u2019s contract runs until 2028, which could push the price higher.<\/p>\n

Will he be a good fit for David Moyes\u2019 system?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Currently, Vitaliy Mykolenko holds the left-back spot more because of limited competition than strong performances. 19-year-old Adam Aznou, signed from Bayern Munich, has yet to make his Premier League debut and looks like a long-term option.<\/p>\n

Robinson would likely be a great signing for Everton.
