Liverpool welcomed Sunderland at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the contest and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

Chemsdine Talbi gave the visitors the lead in the 67th minute. However, Arne Slot\u2019s men responded thanks to Nordi Mukiele\u2019s unfortunate own goal in the 81st minute. The match finished with the Merseyside club being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Anfield.<\/p>\n

GK: Alisson Becker \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few crucial saves at the back and did enough to limit the opposition to just one goal.<\/p>\n

Gomez earned possession back once and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending and was a threat at the other end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk put his foot through the ball when he could and was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

He earned possession back twice and made one decent chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch anchored the midfield well and made some decent chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard defensively but lacked quality in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

RW: Florian Wirtz \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz caught the eye at times but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.<\/p>\n
