In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid<\/a> are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Joao Neves. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are ready to make a \u20ac150m move to land the Portuguese talent next year.<\/p>\n

Neves\u2019 Decent Form In French Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Neves has put in a series of impressive displays for PSG this season in Ligue 1. The Portugal international has registered six goals and earned one assist in 11 matches for the French outfit in this campaign so far across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old has anchored the midfield well and deserves credit for making 11 tackles, seven blocks, five interceptions and one clearance in Ligue 1<\/a>. He has even distributed possession relatively well after completing 92.8% of his attempted passes in the French top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Neves is under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Real Madrid to sign him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

Is Neves A Good Choice For Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Neves is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the front foot.<\/p>\n

The Portugal international is a tidy passer of the ball as well. Neves can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his side in the final third. The talented playmaker is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We can expect Neves to add more quality and depth to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso\u2019s midfield. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.<\/p>\n

At 21, the future looks quite bright for Neves as long as he continues to improve with each year. All in all, he would be an excellent choice for Los Blancos to consider in the long run.
