In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Dean Jones mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown. It has been stated that Spurs would have to rival Manchester City<\/a>, West Ham United, Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to land the German defender next year.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s Impressive Form In The Bundesliga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Brown has caught the eye at times with his performances on the left side of Frankfurt\u2019s defence in this campaign so far. The 22-year-old has registered one goal and grabbed four assists in 20 appearances for the German club this season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The German talent has proven himself to be a capable presence when defending inside his half as he has made 30 tackles, 15 blocks, ten interceptions and 16 clearances in the Bundesliga<\/a>. He has even been tidy when distributing possession from the left flank, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 81.3% in the German top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, it won\u2019t be easy for Tottenham to get a deal done for him next year.<\/p>\n

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Snap Brown Up?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Brown is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and is a good passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The German sensation can even score and create the odd goal for his team from the left flank. Brown is primarily a left-back but can also serve as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if Spurs manage to get a deal over the line for him next year.<\/p>\n

Brown would add more quality and depth to Tottenham<\/a> head coach Thomas Frank\u2019s defence. He is more than capable of nailing down a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.<\/p>\n
