Liverpool welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield earlier this afternoon as they looked to earn all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a dream start to the contest and got their noses ahead in the first minute when Hugo Ekitike found the back of the net. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Ekitike doubled his team\u2019s advantage in the 60th minute as the Merseyside club earned a solid 2-0 win in front of their home fans.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player performed during the clash against the Seagulls.<\/p>\n

GK: Alisson Becker \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good save at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Joe Gomez \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gomez secured an assist for setting up Ekitike\u2019s opener, but had to be replaced in the 25th minute.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Konate was a rock at the back and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when required and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when needed and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was full of energy and running in the middle of the park, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

CM: Curtis Jones \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones was positive on the ball and made a few decent runs with it from midfield.<\/p>\n

RW: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked his socks off on the right flank and performed his defensive responsibilities well.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 9\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ekitike scored a brace to help the Reds secure a good win today. He deserves the man of the match award.<\/p>\n

LW: Florian Wirtz \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He linked up play well with others around him but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n

He was a real menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

Robertson made one good run with the ball.<\/p>\n

He never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n
