In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes claimed that Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Crystal Palace<\/a> talent Daniel Munoz. It has been stated that the Blues would have to rival Manchester City, Manchester United<\/a> and Liverpool in the race to sign the Colombian talent next year.<\/p>\n

Munoz\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Munoz has enjoyed a good run of form at the London club this season and deserves credit for putting in a series of solid performances on the right side of their defence. The 29-year-old has found the back of the net four times and picked up a couple of assists in 23 appearances for the Eagles in this campaign across multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Colombian talent has proven his worth on the right flank by making 33 tackles, 19 blocks, 16 interceptions and 60 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He has even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 73.2% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current deal at the London club will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Blues to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Are Facing Stiff Competition For Munoz: Is He Worth The Fight?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Munoz loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and is a strong runner with the ball.<\/p>\n

The Colombian defensive ace can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. He mainly operates as a right-back but can also function as a central defender if told to do so by his manager.<\/p>\n

We can expect Munoz to add more quality and depth to Chelsea<\/a> head coach Enzo Maresca\u2019s defence. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.<\/p>\n

At 29, Munoz is playing in his prime at the moment and is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at the West London club if Maresca can find a way to sign him this winter or at the end of this season.
