Liverpool clashed heads with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game and found themselves a man up in the 33rd minute when Xavi Simons was sent off by the referee. Arne Slot\u2019s players went into the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak scored the opening goal for Liverpool with a good finish in the 56th minute. Hugo Ekitike doubled the Merseyside club\u2019s advantage just ten minutes later. Richarlison grabbed a late consolation for Spurs in the 83rd minute before Cristian Romero saw a red card as well in injury time. The contest finished with Liverpool earning a narrow 2-1 win away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against Spurs.<\/p>\n

GK: Alisson Becker \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves at the back and did enough to limit the opposition to just one goal.<\/p>\n

RB: Conor Bradley \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bradley earned the ball back once in the first half and was replaced at half-time.<\/p>\n

CB: Jbrahima Konate \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when he could, but failed to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk organised his backline well and dealt with the danger when needed.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch came back to defend when needed and ran the show in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

CM: Curtis Jones \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times, but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

RW: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szoboszlai worked his socks off on the right flank but struggled to threaten the Tottenham goal.<\/p>\n

CAM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was not shy of having a strike at goal, but failed to make a difference in the final third.<\/p>\n

LW: Florian Wirtz \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz linked up play well with others around him and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a real handful for the opposition defenders and managed to score Liverpool\u2019s second goal with a good finish in the 66th minute.<\/p>\n
