In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are eyeing a loan move for Manchester City<\/a> defender Abdukodir Khusanov. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are showing interest in recruiting the Uzbekistan international next year.<\/p>\n

Khusanov\u2019s Impressive Form In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Khusanov has proven his worth as a decent performer in Pep Guardiola\u2019s squad this season. The Uzbekistan talent has made nine appearances for Man City in this campaign so far, but is still waiting to score or create a goal for them across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old has been a decent contributor on the defensive end of the field as he has made seven tackles, four blocks, five interceptions and 11 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He has even distributed the ball relatively well after completing 84.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Mancunian club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Real Madrid to sign him permanently next year. Hence, it makes sense for Alonso to try and sign him on loan this January.<\/p>\n

Is Khusanov A Good Fit For Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Khusanov is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.<\/p>\n

The Uzbeki talent is primarily a centre-back but can also fill in as a right-back if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga<\/a> if Los Blancos manage to bring him on board next year.<\/p>\n

We can expect Khusanov to bring more bite and steel to Real Madrid<\/a> boss Xabi Alonso\u2019s defence. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Madrid club in the coming years.<\/p>\n

At 21, Khusanov has got the potential to be a future star in European football. Hence, he would be an excellent fit for Los Blancos to consider in the long run.
