Galatasaray have put Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko at the top of their list for the winter transfer window. They think the Ukrainian international fits their defensive setup perfectly. A report from Turkish outlet FotoSpor<\/a> says the Istanbul club has a real interest in the full-back.<\/p>\n

Vitalii Mykolenko saga:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

They have moved him high up their recruitment rankings. The former Dynamo Kyiv man has a few traits that make him a great option. For one, the 26-year-old is flexible enough to play as a traditional left-back.<\/p>\n

He can also step into a central defensive role if the manager needs him there. Besides his skills, the Turkish side likes his quiet life off the field. They noticed Mykolenko stays away from the busy Premier League nightlife. This keeps his focus entirely on his job on the pitch.<\/p>\n

With the defender\u2019s contract<\/a> at Goodison Park entering its final months, the Super Lig team thinks they can strike a deal in January. This will only happen if the Toffees agree to fair terms. Fenerbah\u00e7e had already shown interest in signing him<\/a> for free next summer, but Galatasaray want to beat their rivals to it.<\/p>\n

They hope to wrap up a permanent move during the mid-season window. Everton probably won\u2019t even think about a loan deal right now. They will only consider it if a large, guaranteed transfer fee comes with it.<\/p>\n
