In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes mentioned that Barcelona have set their sights on Atletico Madrid<\/a> forward Julian Alvarez. It has been claimed that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Argentine talent to the Nou Camp next year.<\/p>\n

Alvarez\u2019s Impressive Form In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alvarez has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Madrid club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net 11 times and earned five assists in 23 appearances for Diego Simeone\u2019s side this season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The Argentine talent has proven his worth in the opponent\u2019s half by averaging 2.19 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. Alvarez was even excellent when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 78.4% in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Madrid club will expire in the summer of 2030. Hence, Barcelona would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit Alvarez next year.<\/p>\n

Is Alvarez A Good Fit For Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alvarez is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer a few decent chances in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

The Argentine talent is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so by his manager. He has already proven his worth in La Liga<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at the Catalan club.<\/p>\n

We can expect Alvarez to bring more quality and depth to Barcelona<\/a> boss Hansi Flick\u2019s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Catalan club in the coming years.<\/p>\n
