In a recent segment on Youtube<\/a>, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Liverpool<\/a> are in the running to land Crystal Palace<\/a> defender Marc Guehi. Romano said,<\/p>\n

\u201cGuehi is a player who\u2019s been linked with basically all the big clubs in Europe. All the big clubs have called to understand the situation of the centre-back at Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of today, there is still nothing advanced with any club for January. The feeling of those close to Guehi is that the most likely outcome is a move in the summer on a free transfer, staying at Crystal Palace until the end of the season and then joining his favourite club in the summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is\u00a0Liverpool\u00a0in the race. There is Bayern in the race. There are more English clubs, including Man City, also calling. Barcelona and Real Madrid made some calls to understand the situation at the end of October, beginning of November, and we will see if they decide to enter the race officially or not.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are many clubs interested in the player, but at the moment, the most likely outcome is a summer move.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guehi\u2019s Impressive Form In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Guehi has enjoyed a decent run of form at the London club this season and has done well to put in a series of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 25-year-old has registered two goals and earned four assists in 27 matches for Crystal Palace in this campaign so far across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The English talent has been a dominant presence inside his half as he is averaging 27 tackles, ten blocks, 18 interceptions and 85 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from the back after completing 84.6% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Snap Guehi Up Next Year?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Guehi is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and can even play his way out from the back.<\/p>\n

At 25, Guehi has his best years ahead of him. He would no doubt enhance the quality of Liverpool boss Arne Slot\u2019s defence.<\/p>\n
