In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Fraser Fletcher mentioned that Arsenal<\/a> are among the clubs hoping to land Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. It has been stated that the Gunners would have to rival Manchester United<\/a>, Chelsea<\/a> and Liverpool<\/a> in the race to land the French talent next year.<\/p>\n

Bouaddi\u2019s Impressive Rise In French Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 18-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Lille and has done well to establish himself as a crucial member of their senior team. Bouaddi has picked up one assist in 20 appearances for the French outfit this season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The French whizkid is currently among the best young midfielders in Ligue 1. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Gunners are trying to get him on board in 2026.<\/p>\n

Bouaddi is under contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.<\/p>\n

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Go For Bouaddi?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bouaddi is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his side at the centre of the park. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing his lines when required and can create the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net.<\/p>\n

The French prospect can even use his strong 1.86m frame to win a few aerial duels. Bouaddi is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder if told to do so by his manager.<\/p>\n

We can expect him to bring more quality to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta\u2019s midfield department in the long run. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting a player of his potential.<\/p>\n

At 18, the future looks quite promising for Bouaddi as long as he continues to improve with each season.
