Arsenal welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a great start to the contest and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute when Martin Odegaard found the back of the net. Mikel Arteta\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Georginio Rutter scored an unfortunate own goal in the 52nd minute before Diego Gomez got a goal back for the Seagulls in the 64th minute. The contest finished with Arsenal securing a hard-fought 2-1 win at the Emirates.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Arsenal<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Seagulls.<\/p>\n

GK: David Raya \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Declan Rice \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rice was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.<\/p>\n

CB: William Saliba \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared the danger when needed and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.<\/p>\n

CB: Piero Hincapie \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hincapie got stuck in with some solid tackles and was tidy with his passing.<\/p>\n

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared the danger when he could, but offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Martin Odegaard \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Odegaard was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score the opener in the 14th minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Mikel Merino \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Martin Zubimendi \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zubimendi was a positive influence at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

RW: Bukayo Saka \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saka caused a lot of problems for his marker and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

ST: Viktor Gyokeres \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

LW: Leandro Trossard \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trossard caused a few headaches for his marker and was replaced in the 81st minute.<\/p>\n
