In a recent segment on Youtube<\/a>, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Liverpool<\/a> could join the race for Bournemouth<\/a> winger Antoine Semenyo.<\/p>\n

Romano said, \u201cReports are mentioning Liverpool might hijack Antoine Semenyo. Manchester City want to be as fast to avoid any kind of surprise for the deal. What Man City will do next is to be in touch with Bournemouth. They will be in direct conversation to discuss how to proceed with this deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan City will sit at a table and say. \u2018We have a deal with Semenyo in place; we can pay the release clause of \u00a365m by January 10 or try to agree a different structure\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Liverpool, they have always been calling. They called in November and again in December. Liverpool have always been in contact with people close to the player.<\/p>\n

Semenyo has produced a series of impressive displays for the Cherries on the left flank during this campaign. The Ghana international has registered eight goals and earned three assists in 17 matches for Bournemouth this season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 2.25 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League<\/a>. He has kept 52.8% of his attempts on target. However, Semenyo needs to improve his ball distribution after completing 70.3% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

What Will Semenyo Add To Liverpool Boss Arne Slot\u2019s Side?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Semenyo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks.<\/p>\n

The Ghanaian sensation is primarily a right winger but can also perform as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so. He would no doubt add more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Arne Slot\u2019s frontline.<\/p>\n
