In a recent interview<\/a>, former scout Mick Brown claimed that Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> are eyeing a move for Manchester City<\/a> forward Omar Marmoush. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cTottenham have been looking at Marmoush.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a move that would definitely suit them, because he can play up front and out wide, and they\u2019re both positions they\u2019ve been aiming to strengthen in.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt might make sense for him too, because he\u2019s been out of the side at Man City and at this stage he will be wanting to play every minute possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he was really impressive when he came in at Man City, but now they\u2019ve added players like Cherki, and Foden and Doku are hitting top form.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuardiola clearly doesn\u2019t see him as part of that starting XI any more, so he might be thinking it\u2019s time for him to move on if an offer comes in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marmoush\u2019s Important Role At Man City This Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Marmoush has served as a good rotational piece in Pep Guardiola\u2019s squad this season. The Cairo-born talent has played in 15 matches for Man City in this campaign so far, scoring one goal and grabbing one assist in various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 3.84 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League<\/a>. He has kept 33.3% of his shots on target. Marmoush has even been accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent\u2019s half after making 83.9% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Is Marmoush A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Marmoush excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer a few clear-cut chances in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

The Egypt international can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager.<\/p>\n

We can expect Marmoush to bring more firepower to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank\u2019s frontline. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at the North London club.
