In a recent report<\/a>, The Independent mentioned that Arsenal have set their sights on Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya. It has been claimed that the Gunners are showing interest in securing the services of the French wide player.<\/p>\n

Bahoya\u2019s Good Run Of Form In The Bundesliga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bahoya has caught the eye at times for his performances on the left side of Frankfurt\u2019s attack this season. The 20-year-old has registered three goals and picked up one assist in 22 matches for the German outfit in this campaign so far across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The French talent has proven his worth in the final third as he is averaging 1.73 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga<\/a>. He has kept 33.3% of his attempts on target. Bahoya has even been careful when distributing possession in the opponent\u2019s half based on his pass completion rate of 75.1% in the top tier of German football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Bahoya is under contract at the German club until the summer of 2029. Hence, Arsenal would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him next year.<\/p>\n

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Move In For Bahoya?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bahoya is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

The French sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Bahoya mainly operates as a left-sided wide player but can also play as a centre-forward if needed. However, there are some question marks over whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if the Gunners manage to sign him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n
