Real Madrid clashed heads with Atletico Madrid at the Alinma Bank Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result in the Spanish Super Cup. Los Blancos made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the second minute when Federico Valverde found the back of the net. Xabi Alonso\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Rodrygo doubled Real Madrid\u2019s advantage in the 55th minute before Alexander Sorloth got a goal back for Diego Simeone\u2019s side just three minutes later. The match ended with Los Blancos earning a narrow 2-1 win in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Real Madrid<\/a> player fared during the clash against Atletico Madrid.<\/p>\n

GK: Thibaut Courtois \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Courtois made his fair share of saves at the back and did enough to limit the opposition to just one goal.<\/p>\n

RB: Federico Valverde \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Valverde gave his team the lead in spectacular fashion early in the game and secured an assist for setting up Rodrygo\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

CB: Raul Asencio \u2013 5.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard defensively but failed to keep Alexander Sorloth quiet during the game.<\/p>\n

CB: Antonio Rudiger \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rudiger kept things solid when defending inside his half.<\/p>\n

He was far from convincing on the defensive end of the field and offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

RM: Rodrygo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodrygo was a threat in the final third and managed to score with a composed finish early in the second half.<\/p>\n

CM: Eduardo Camavinga \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well but struggled to influence the game in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tchouameni looked a bit shaky on the ball and did his fair share of defending.<\/p>\n

He retained possession well in the Atletico half, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

He was quiet for most of his time on the pitch.<\/p>\n
