Barcelona clashed heads with Real Madrid earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the Spanish Super Cup final. The Catalan club made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 36th minute when Raphinha found the back of the net. However, Vinicius Jr. equalised for Los Blancos in injury time. Robert Lewandowski put Barca 2-1 ahead soon after, but Gonzalo Garcia equalised in the dying embers of the first half. Hansi Flick\u2019s men went into the half-time interval with a 2-2 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Raphinha ended up scoring the winning goal for Barcelona in the 73rd minute. Frenkie de Jong was sent off by the referee in injury time, but the Catalan giants hung on and earned a narrow 3-2 win in the final.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Barcelona<\/a> player fared during the clash against Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

GK: Joan Garcia \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made his fair share of saves but ended up conceding two goals late in the first half.<\/p>\n

RB: Jules Kounde \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kounde looked shaky when defending inside his half, but was lively going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Pau Cubarsi \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to cope with Vinicius Junior\u2019s pace and looked far from convincing at the back.<\/p>\n

CB: Eric Garcia \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Garcia made one poor error defensively, but was solid otherwise.<\/p>\n

LB: Alejandro Balde \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Balde performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the Real Madrid half.<\/p>\n

CM: Frenkie de Jong \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He controlled the game well from midfield but let his teammates down by getting sent off late in the game.<\/p>\n

CM: Pedri \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pedri ran the show in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

RW: Lamine Yamal \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

CAM: Fermin Lopez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lopez put in a tireless shift in the final third and managed to secure an assist.<\/p>\n

LW: Raphinha \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He scored two important goals for Barcelona and deserves to be named the man of the match.<\/p>\n

ST: Robert Lewandowski \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He took his goal well in the first half but failed to influence the game in the second.<\/p>\n

He managed to shine at times.<\/p>\n
