In a recent report<\/a>, The Daily Mail stated that Manchester United<\/a> are eyeing a summer move for Nottingham Forest<\/a> star Murillo. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eager to get a deal done for the Brazilian centre-back at the end of this season.<\/p>\n

Murillo\u2019s Impressive Form In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Murillo is having another solid campaign at the City Ground as he has produced a series of impressive performances for Nottingham on the defensive end of the field. The 23-year-old has scored one goal in 21 matches for the Midlands club this season in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian talent has been a solid presence when defending inside his half and has done well to make 25 tackles, 25 blocks, 23 interceptions and 77 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He has even distributed possession accurately from the back after completing 83.5% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Murillo is under contract at Nottingham until the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to snap him up on the cheap at the end of this campaign.<\/p>\n

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Go For Murillo?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Murillo is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his side on the defensive end of the field. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing the danger when needed and excels at playing his way out from the back.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian sensation is a tidy passer of the ball as well and doesn\u2019t mind putting his body on the line to make some last-ditch blocks. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at Man United.<\/p>\n

Murillo would bring more bite and steel to Michael Carrick\u2019s defence. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

At 23, Murillo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Red Devils to consider next summer. He will also help the Mancunian outfit challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League over the next few years.
