After a series of three impressive performances, Everton faced a defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest. They lost the clash 2-0 and ended 2024 on a demotivating note. However, they would like to keep that in past and focus on their first game of 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Toffees will travel abroad to face Bournemouth in the Premier League this Saturday. They are 16th on the points table and hence, they would like to collect all three points and climb up the positions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Defence<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Jordan Pickford<\/a> was unfortuante to leak two goals as his frontline wasn\u2019t effective enough. He will be desperate to keep a clean sheet this week. Ashley Young returned into the side as the right-back following the injury to Seamus Coleman and there will be no change about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The centre-back duo of Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski didn\u2019t put their best foot forward against Nottingham Forest. They will be under pressure to do better this week. Vitalii Mykolenko continues to do his work as the left full-back.<\/span><\/p>\n

Midfield<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Idrissa Gueye once again takes the duties of a deep-lying midfielder in the side. He will have the services of Orel Mangala and Abdoulaye Doucoure<\/a> alongside.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trio needs to contribute more significantly in the middle of the park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attack<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean Dyche<\/a> is expected to bring Jesper Lindstrom at the cost of Jack Harrison on the left flank while Iliman Ndiaye continues on the other wing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notably, Armando Broja made his first full debut against Forest but Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be walking back into the XI despite not having form on his side.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dwight McNeil, Seamus Coleman, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are all confirmed absentees as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n
