An incredible run under Danny Rohl has brought Rangers back in the title race alongside Celtic and Hearts, but they are already eliminated from the Europa League<\/a>, with just one draw and five defeats. The German boss rested several first-team stars in their 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Annan Athletic, and is expected to do it again on Thursday night against Ludogorets Razgrad, ahead of Sunday afternoon\u2019s Premiership encounter versus Dundee.<\/p>\n

The Bulgarian giants are not in a comfortable position either, as they hang by a thread for the knockout spot on goal difference. While a defeat at Ibrox would jeopardise their future in Europe, Celtic should be galvanised by a Rangers<\/a>\u2018 win, provided they claim a result in Italy against Bologna in the evening.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Liam Kelly was handed a rare start last weekend, but the Scotsman is likely to make way for Jack Butland, the first-choice custodian, who has been majestic between the sticks so far this season.<\/p>\n

James Tavernier should be back in the starting XI and grab a place down the right, replacing Max Aarons. Emmanuel Fernandez and John Souttar might return to the heart of the backline, having formed a formidable central defensive pairing of late. January signing Tuur Rommens remains ineligible, which would see the gaffer stick with Jayden Meghoma on the left.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Injuries to Connor Barron and Bailey Rice, as well as the ineligibility of Kieran Dowell and the winter recruit Tochi Chukwuani, leave Rohl with few options deep down the midfield. He should bring Nicolas Raskin back, but must rely on Joe Rothwell, regardless of his exit rumours<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In-form Thelo Aasgaard must be protected from fatigue and injuries, and the Gers\u2019 boss should opt for Mohamed Diomande as an advanced playmaker. Findlay Curtis is set for a loan move to Kilmarnock for the remainder of the campaign, and the significance of the upcoming Dundee clash demands more recovery time for Djeidi Gassama, who was also involved against the League Two minnows. Oliver Antman might return to the squad having recovered from a long injury layoff, but is unlikely to grab a start on the right-hand flank. Also, Mikey Moore should operate from the left, with Danilo shifting down the right, exhibiting his versatility in attack.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bojan Miovski deserves another start, following his hat-trick against The Galabankies. Another productive outing this midweek could earn him a starting spot over Youssef Chermiti over the weekend.<\/p>\n
