In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes stated that Liverpool<\/a> are leading the race for Crystal Palace<\/a> midfielder Adam Wharton. It has been mentioned that the Reds are showing interest in securing the services of the English talent this year.<\/p>\n

Wharton\u2019s Decent Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wharton has enjoyed a solid run of form at the London club as he has produced a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 21-year-old has made 30 appearances for the Eagles this season, securing three assists across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The English talent is currently among the best central midfielders in the Premier League<\/a>. Thus, it is no surprise that the Reds are hoping to get a deal done for him this year.<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Move In For Wharton?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wharton is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing his lines when required and is a good passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The English talent can shoot the ball with power from long range and is a strong runner with the ball at his feet. Wharton can chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. He is primarily a holding midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder or play in the number ten position if needed.<\/p>\n

We can expect Wharton to bring more bite and steel to Liverpool boss Arne Slot\u2019s midfield department. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.
