Brazilian outlet of ESPN<\/a> is reporting that Al Nassr\u2019s Brazilian forward Wesley is very close to a move. He may join Everton during the January transfer window. Things have really heated up recently. The 20-year-old seemed to be looking for a way back to his old club, Corinthians. He used some obvious social media posts to show it, but the Saudi club\u2019s bosses haven\u2019t bitten. They want a sale to a European team instead.<\/p>\n

Wesley in Everton Sights<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Everton and Al Nassr have made a lot of progress in talks. So, Everton are now the favourite to sign him. This comes after a potential move to Benfica fell through at the last second. Al Nassr management has wanted him in the European market from the start. They basically blocked a return to Brazilian football for the winger.<\/p>\n

This happened even though he was publicly flirting with Tim\u00e3o. Jorge Jesus, the Al Nassr manager, doesn\u2019t see the winger as part of his long-term plans. That has made finding a new home much more urgent.<\/p>\n

Wesley has recorded decent numbers for the 2025\/26 campaign. He has played 18 games for the Saudi side. In those matches, he has scored four goals and provided two assists. Everton<\/a> are ready to jump on this opportunity. Unless something crazy happens, the deal looks likely.<\/p>\n

The 2025\/26 season hasn\u2019t been perfect for Wesley. The Brazilian winger found it hard to get a consistent starting spot in a stacked Al Nassr attack. Still, four goals and two assists in 18 games isn\u2019t bad for a young player in a new league. The fact that he can\u2019t win over Jorge Jesus feels more like a tactical clash. It doesn\u2019t mean he lacks talent.<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s interest makes sense because they need pace. They also need someone hard to predict in the final third. The Brazilian has plenty of that. The Toffees need a winger who can stretch the defence. They need a player who opens up space for everyone else. Wesley fits that description well.<\/p>\n

Still, a Premier League team in a tough spot is taking a risk here. Signing a 20-year-old from the Saudi league isn\u2019t a sure thing. Football in the Middle East is a world away from the physical grind of the Premier League. He might need a lot of time to get used to it. Even so, Wesley has massive potential.<\/p>\n

David Moyes needs to teach him defensive work, but they also have to let him play with flair. If they get that right, he could be a great signing. Everton need goals right now.
