In a recent post on X<\/a>, journalist Ben Jacobs stated that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a cut-price move for Liverpool<\/a> defender Andy Robertson. It has been mentioned that Spurs have agreed on a deal worth around \u00a35m (including add-ons) for the Scottish left-back, but are waiting to get the green light from the Merseyside club.<\/p>\n

Robertson\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Robertson has struggled to perform at a high level for the Reds in this campaign so far, but has put in a few impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 31-year-old has scored one goal and grabbed one assist in 22 matches for Liverpool this season in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Scotland international has got a wealth of experience at the highest level. Furthermore, he has got the winning mindset to be a real asset in Tottenham\u2019s squad in the future.<\/p>\n

His current contract at Anfield will run out at the end of this campaign. Hence, Spurs could potentially sign him on the cheap this January or on a free transfer next summer.<\/p>\n

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Snap Robertson Up?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Robertson is a good tackler of the ball and can make the odd interception for his side inside his half. He usually clears the danger when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The Scottish talent can shoot the ball with power from long range and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet. He can chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. However, Robertson is past his prime and would only serve as a good, short-term signing for Tottenham<\/a> to consider this winter.<\/p>\n

We can expect Robertson to bring more quality and depth to Spurs boss Thomas Frank\u2019s defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular starting place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming years.<\/p>\n

At 31, Robertson is past his prime and would be a good signing for the North London club in the short term. Therefore, Frank would be wise to snap him up soon.
