Aston Villa entertained RB Salzburg at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the UEFA Europa League. The Villans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 33rd minute when Karim Konate found the back of the net. Unai Emery\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Moussa Yeo doubled his team\u2019s advantage in the 49th minute. However, Morgan Rogers got a goal back for the home side in the 64th minute before Tyrone Mings equalised in the 76th minute. Jamaldeen Jimoh ended up scoring a dramatic winner in the 87th minute as the Villans secured a hard-fought 3-2 win away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Aston Villa<\/a> player fared during the clash against Red Bull Salzburg.<\/p>\n

GK: Emiliano Martinez \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a lot of crucial saves at the back but conceded twice tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Lamare Bogarde \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Borgarde won a couple of aerial duels and was accurate with his passing.<\/p>\n

CB: Victor Lindelof \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He dealt with the danger when he could and was tidy with his ball distribution.<\/p>\n

CB: Tyrone Mings \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mings made a costly error at the back and was a strong presence in the air. He managed to equalise for the Villans in the 76th minute.<\/p>\n

LB: Lucas Digne \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when he could and made a few decent chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Amadou Onana \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Onana anchored the midfield with conviction and was good on the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: George Hemmings \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard but failed to impress in the first half.<\/p>\n

RW: Jadon Sancho \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sancho made some promising runs with the ball but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

CAM: Harvey Elliott \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was not shy of having a strike at goal and linked up play well with others around him.<\/p>\n

LW: Emi Buendia \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buendia was a positive influence at both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

ST: Ollie Watkins \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a slow start to the game and was replaced in the 34th minute.<\/p>\n
