In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes stated that Chelsea<\/a> are eyeing a move for Barcelona<\/a> forward Ferran Torres. It has been mentioned that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting the Spanish talent this summer.<\/p>\n

Torres\u2019 Impressive Form In La Liga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Torres has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Catalan club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has banged in 15 goals and grabbed one assist in 28 matches for Barcelona this season in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The Spanish talent has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 3.63 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga<\/a>. He has kept 51% of his attempts on target (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Chelsea could potentially snap him up on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.<\/p>\n

What Will Torres Bring To Chelsea?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Torres is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some killer passes in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

The Spanish sensation can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Torres is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if told to do so. Hence, he would be a great fit for the London club\u2019s needs next summer.<\/p>\n

We can expect Torres to bring more quality and depth to Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior\u2019s attack. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge in the coming years. Plus, the Spaniard could help the Blues compete across all fronts.<\/p>\n

At 25, Torres has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the West London giants to consider at the end of this campaign. He already knows the Premier League<\/a> well from his time at Manchester City and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea.
