David Moyes spoke to the BBC\u2019s Match of the Day<\/a> after Everton\u2019s recent win against Fulham<\/a>. He talked about how much it meant to grab a win in the Premier League. The Toffees manager knew it was going to be a tough game. This was especially true since Fulham came into the match on a real hot streak.<\/p>\n

David Moyes Hails Everton Resilience Following Hard-Fought Victory<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Moyes did admit his team got lucky at times. Even so, he felt they were hard done by regarding the goal they let in. He truly believed Everton ran the show in the second half. He was just glad they finally got the goal they needed to take all three points from such a difficult place to play.<\/p>\n

Everton manager David Moyes, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: \u201cI think every win in the Premier League is significant, especially against a side that have been on a really good run in good form. This was a tough game for us; it always has been here, but thankfully, we were able to turn things around and get three points.<\/em><\/p>\n

On the manner of how they won the game: \u201cWe might have been a little bit fortunate in little bits, but we were unfortunate with the goal. I thought for the second half we were the better team, and it was whether we could find the goal, and thankfully we did.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This result showed the kind of stomach a team need to move up the table. Craven Cottage is always a tricky place for visiting teams to get a result. The first half showed some holes in the defence that let Fulham score. However, the players came out much stronger after the break.<\/p>\n

That change in energy turned the whole game around. Still, the team had work to do. Giving up goals when they seemed in control remained a problem. Those mistakes would cost them against better teams.<\/p>\n

The midfielders started running the game much better in the second half. Their control opened up the space the forwards needed. Because of that, the attackers finally made their chances count. This kind of fight is what makes a season successful. However, constantly having to come from behind is a dangerous game.<\/p>\n

The manager need to fix that before the next round of games. To keep this run going, the players have to set the tone from the first whistle. They cannot wait for something to go wrong before they wake up. In the end, beating a confident Fulham side provided a strong foundation.
