Manchester City entertained Salford City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the sixth minute due to Alfie Dorrington\u2019s unfortunate own goal. The Mancunian giants went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Marc Guehi doubled his side\u2019s advantage in the 81st minute. The contest ended with Man City securing a solid 2-0 win at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against Salford City.<\/p>\n

GK: James Trafford \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trafford made one solid save at the back and kept an important clean sheet this afternoon.<\/p>\n

RB: Abdukodir Khusanov \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did what was required when defending inside his half.<\/p>\n

CB: John Stones \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stones looked a bit shaky on the defensive end of the field and did enough to secure the clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Max Alleyne \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alleyne dealt with the danger when the opposition were on the front foot.<\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and was good on the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: Rico Lewis \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lewis put in a hard-working performance at the centre of the park.<\/p>\n

CM: Nico Gonzalez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He retained possession well in midfield but failed to make a difference in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Phil Foden \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Foden failed to get a foothold in the game and was replaced after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

CAM: Tijjani Reijnders \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He managed to shine at times but lacked quality on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

Cherki caused some headaches for his marker but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n
