If a recent report from The Daily Record<\/a> is true, Rangers have received a boost in their pursuit of Silas Andersen. The Glasgow giants have been notified by a BK Hacken insider about the potential summer departure of the Danish ace, and according to The Rangers Review<\/a>, the club\u2019s eagerness to bring in another midfielder could reignite interest in their January target upon the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.<\/p>\n

After an academy spell with FC Copenhagen, the 21-year-old Denmark youth international plied his trade in Italy for an ambitious move to Inter Milan. But he was eventually offloaded a couple of years later in favour of a transfer to Dutch outfit Utrecht. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite making his senior debut in the Netherlands, Andersen primarily featured for their reserves in the Eerste Divisie. He finally had his breakthrough in Sweden when BK Hacken secured his services for \u20ac1m just over a year ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

The midfield prodigy has flourished with first-team football, as he has so far made 45 appearances for the Wasps across competitions. His composure, control and all-round traits in the middle of the park also earned him accolades in Europe. His physicality, movements and high work ethic should help him attune to the aggression of the Scottish game if Rangers<\/a> win the transfer chase amid interest from several suitors, including Celtic.<\/p>\n

Besides Andersen, the Light Blues were also after Tromso\u2019s Jens Hjerto-Dahl in the winter transfer window. However, the talks cooled down after Tochi Chukwuani\u2019s arrival, as the former Sturm Graz star has now cemented a starting status in Danny Rohl\u2019s \u2018double pivot\u2019 midfield setup. Connor Barron\u2019s injury forced them to splash the cash on the Danish prospect, but they could bring in his compatriot before next season amid uncertainties over Nicolas Raskin\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

The Belgian has been on the radar<\/a> of various European outfits, and a strong World Cup display could force Rangers to sanction his exit. They have failed to convince Bailey Rice to commit his future to Ibrox, as the 19-year-old sensation is expected to part ways on a Bosman, with Aston Villa and West Brom both looking to pick up<\/a>\u00a0the Scotsman.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Gers have recently offloaded two of their experienced midfielders, who failed to live up to expectations. Both Kieran Dowell and Joe Rothwell have returned to the English Championship, thus leaving Rohl with Raskin, Chukwuani and Mohamed Diomande as the only available options in the centre of the pitch.
