Liverpool entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the FA Cup. The Reds made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 42nd minute thanks to Curtis Jones\u2019 controlled finish. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Dominik Szoboszlai doubled his team\u2019s advantage with a great finish in the 56th minute. Mohamed Salah killed the game off from the penalty spot in the 68th minute. The match finished with the Reds securing an impressive 3-0 win at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Seagulls.<\/p>\n

GK: Alisson Becker \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves during the game and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Curtis Jones \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and scored a great goal to give Liverpool the lead.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Konate was a rock at the back and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He dealt with the danger when required and was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szoboszlai worked hard on both halves and doubled his side\u2019s lead with a good finish.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well and ran the show inside the Brighton half.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 9\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah was back to his best tonight as he caused a lot of headaches for the opppositon defenders. He has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

CAM: Florian Wirtz \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz caught the eye at times in the final third, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

LW: Cody Gakpo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was always willing to run with the ball but lacked quality in front of the Brighton goal.<\/p>\n

ST: Federico Chiesa \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chiesa ran the channels well but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

RB: Joe Gomez \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was solid at the back.<\/p>\n

LW: Rio Ngumoha \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ngumoha made one positive run with the ball and had a goal chalked off as he was offside.<\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n
