James Trafford reportedly wants out of Manchester City<\/a> for good this summer. He\u2019s had a tough time sitting on the bench at the Etihad. According to former Manchester United<\/a> scout Mick Brown<\/a>, the young keeper used his latest post-match interview to tell the higher-ups he wants a move. He signalled his intent after playing a bit-part role behind Gianluigi Donnarumma.<\/p>\n

The Premier League giants have blocked a mid-season move back in January. But Trafford\u2019s recent public comments about being unhappy have forced the club\u2019s hand for the next window. The report says Trafford originally went back to his boyhood club expecting to be the main man. Then, Paris Saint-Germain suddenly made Donnarumma available, and Trafford ended up stuck on the bench.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrafford is definitely looking to leave Man City,\u201d<\/em> Brown told Football Insider.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was convinced to go back to Man City, where he started off, after going away and developing his game, and it looked like a good move.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAll of a sudden, Donnarumma became available, and you can\u2019t blame City for going after one of the best goalkeepers in the world because it\u2019s not often you get that choice.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cTrafford then is pushed to being their number two without even doing anything, and he\u2019s now made it clear that was not part of the plan.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHe wanted to go back to City and prove himself at the top level, play every week, get into the England squad and all of that sort of thing.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a top-class goalkeeper and he\u2019s proved that, but now his career is being stalled by City and it looks to me like he is forcing his way out.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s going to be no shortage of interest in him if he does become available;\u00a0the issue he has now is whether City are willing to let him go.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
