Newcastle United will clash heads with Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday evening as they look to earn a win on the road. The Magpies secured an impressive 3-1 win away at Aston Villa recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going in midweek.<\/p>\n

Eddie Howe will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this game. Anthony Gordon, Joe Willock and Anthony Elanga could all play from the start of this contest.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nick Pope will feature in between the sticks for the Magpies after he conceded one goal in his last outing. Malick Thiaw will function alongside Dan Burn at the heart of the Newcastle<\/a> backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.<\/p>\n

Kieran Trippier will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Lewis Hall looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will hope to go forward and express themselves inside the Qarabag half.<\/p>\n

Alex Murphy will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jacob Ramsey, Sandro Tonali and Joe Willock will make up Howe\u2019s midfield. The talented trio would have to move the ball well if they want to create enough clear-cut chances for the Magpies to win this clash.<\/p>\n

William Osula will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if required.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Anthony Gordon will hope to give a good account of himself on the left flank, while Anthony Elanga looks to impress as the right-sided wide player. Both of them will try to get in behind the opponent\u2019s backline at every chance they can get.<\/p>\n

Nick Woltemade will lead the charge for the Tyneside club in the final third. He has to figure out a way to be a real threat up top.<\/p>\n

Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.<\/p>\n
