In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Mark Brus claimed that Manchester United are locked in a three-way battle for Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Mateus Mane. It is believed that the Red Devils will have to compete with Liverpool and Arsenal in the race to land the English talent next summer.<\/p>\n

Mane\u2019s Impressive Rise In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mane has come through the youth ranks of the West Midlands club and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The English attacker has registered two goals and picked up two assists in 19 matches for Wolves this season across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old is currently among the best young playmakers in English football. Thus, it is no wonder that the Red Devils are hoping to get a deal done for him next summer.<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Molineux Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him at the end of this campaign.<\/p>\n

Manchester United Are Locked In A Three-Way Battle For Mane: Is He A Prospect For The Future?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mane can make a few promising runs with the ball out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.<\/p>\n

The English prospect can even chip in by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team. Mane is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a centre-forward or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.<\/p>\n
