The Magpies managed to earn a 3-2 win over Qarabag recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie Howe will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this clash. Anthony Gordon will once again lead the charge for the Tyneside club up top.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nick Pope will function in between the sticks for the Magpies after being rested in midweek. Malick Thiaw will play alongside Dan Burn at the heart of the <a href=\"https:\/\/the4thofficial.net\/category\/leagues\/english-premier-league\/newcastle-united\/\">Newcastle<\/a> backline as they focus on keeping a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Kieran Trippier will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Lewis Hall looks to impress on the other side as the left-back. Their main job would be to move the ball well at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Willock will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Harvey Barnes will try to prove his value on the left flank, while Anthony Elanga looks to impress as the right-winger. Both of them will try to get in behind the opponent\u2019s backline at every chance they can get.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Gordon will spearhead Newcastle\u2019s attack down the middle.
