Liverpool welcomed West Ham United at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fifth minute thanks to Hugo Ekitike\u2019s effort. Virgil Van Dijk doubled his team\u2019s advantage in the 24th minute with a good header. Alexis Mac Allister put daylight between the two sides in the 43rd minute as Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Tomas Soucek got a goal back for West Ham in the 49th minute before Cody Gakpo made it 4-1 to Liverpool in the 70th minute. Valentin Castellanos got another goal back for the Hammers just five minutes later, but Liverpool scored their fifth thanks to an unfortunate own goal from Axel Disasi in the 82nd minute. The match ended with the Merseyside giants securing an impressive 5-2 win at Anfield.<\/p>\n

GK: Alisson Becker \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Brazilian goalie made a few solid saves at the back but conceded two goals this evening.<\/p>\n

RB: Joe Gomez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and made one key chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Konate put his foot through the ball when he could and was tidy with his ball distribution.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dutch talent cleared his lines when he could and was good on the ball. He managed to score in the 24th minute.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well but lacked quality in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch anchored the midfield well and caught the eye at times inside the West Ham half. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when he could and managed to score just before the half-time break.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah was a threat at times but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He engineered a few inviting chances for others around him and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

LW: Cody Gakpo \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gakpo managed to cause some headaches for his marker and managed to find the back of the net in the 70th minute.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 9\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ekitike managed to shine in the final third and has got a goal and a couple of assists to his name.<\/p>\n

He was lively on the ball.<\/p>\n
