Newcastle United will welcome Manchester City at St. James\u2019 Park this Saturday night as they look to secure a good result in the FA Cup. The Magpies managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Manchester United recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.<\/p>\n

Eddie Howe will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Joe Willock could play from the start of this cup game.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aaron Ramsdale will feature in goal for the Magpies after he conceded one goal in his last outing. Malick Thiaw will continue to play alongside Dan Burn at the centre of the Newcastle<\/a> backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.<\/p>\n

Kieran Trippier will hope to put in a solid performance as the right-back, while Lewis Hall looks to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before they can try to offer some support to their teammates up top.<\/p>\n

Alex Murphy and Sven Botman will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Joe Willock will make up Newcastle\u2019s midfield. Their main job would be to make life difficult for the opposition in the middle of the park and engineer some decent chances on the counter.<\/p>\n

Jacob Murphy will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Harvey Barnes will try to prove his value on the left flank, while Anthony Elanga looks to give a good account of himself as the right-sided wide player. Both of them will hope to get in behind the opponent\u2019s backline at every chance they can get.<\/p>\n

Anthony Gordon will spearhead Newcastle\u2019s attack in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet versus the Mancunian side this weekend.<\/p>\n

Yoane Wissa and William Osula will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.<\/p>\n
