Manchester City locked horns with Newcastle United at St. James\u2019 Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men made a slow start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 18th minute when Harvey Barnes found the back of the net. However, Savinho equalised for the visitors in the 39th minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Omar Marmoush put Man City ahead in the 47th minute before going on to score again in the 65th minute. The match ended with the Mancunian club earning an impressive 3-1 win away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Magpies.<\/p>\n

GK: James Trafford \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one solid save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Matheus Nunes \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nunes was a threat going forward and did what was required of him defensively.<\/p>\n

CB: Abdukodir Khusanov \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He dealt with the danger when he could and did enough to limit the home team to just one goal.<\/p>\n

CB: John Stones \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stones kept things solid at the back for most of the game.<\/p>\n

He kept a solid shape defensively but failed to make a difference going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Nico Gonzalez \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gonzalez anchored the midfield well and retained possession well for his team.<\/p>\n

CM: Tijjani Reijnders \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third but missed a great chance to score.<\/p>\n

CM: Nico O\u2019Reilly \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

O\u2019Reilly caught the eye at times, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

RW: Savio \u2013 8\/10\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few driving runs with the ball and scored the all-important equaliser in the 39th minute.<\/p>\n

ST: Omar Marmoush \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marmoush struggled to impress in the first half and bagged a brace in the second. He deserves to get the man of the match award.<\/p>\n

He caused some headaches for his marker, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n
