Real Madrid will entertain Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 clash. Los Blancos managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Celta Vigo recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.<\/p>\n

Alvaro Arbeloa will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this contest. Fran Garcia, Eduardo Camavinga and Gonzalo Garcia could all play from the start of this game.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thibaut Courtois will feature in between the sticks for Los Blancos after conceding one goal in his last appearance. Antonio Rudiger will function alongside Raul Asencio at the heart of the Real Madrid<\/a> backline as they focus on keeping a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

Trent Alexander-Arnold will hope to impress as the right-back, while Fran Garcia looks to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.<\/p>\n

Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy will offer cover for the full-back positions on the bench.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Real Madrid\u2019s midfield. All three of them need to retain possession well at the centre of the park if they want to engineer some inviting chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

Thiago Pitarch Pinar will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Vinicius Junior will try to prove his worth as the left-winger, while Arda Guler looks to give a good account of himself on the right flank. Both of them will hope to get in behind the opponent\u2019s backline at every chance they can get.<\/p>\n

Gonzalo Garcia will spearhead Real Madrid\u2019s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real threat on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n
