Liverpool faced off against Galatasaray at the RAMS Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Mario Lemina found the back of the net. Arne Slot\u2019s men failed to mount a comeback and were trailing 1-0 at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

The Merseyside club failed to find the leveller in the second 45 minutes and crashed to a poor 1-0 loss away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against Galatasaray.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a couple of top saves to keep his team in the game, but there was no clean sheet for him.<\/p>\n

RB: Joe Gomez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gomez dealt with the danger when he could and was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few crucial clearances inside his half and was a threat at the other end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk made a lot of important clearances at the back but failed to secure the shutout.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times on the left flank but failed to make a difference going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryn Gravenberch \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch managed to shine at times on both halves.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He gave away the ball cheaply and was unfortunate to last the whole 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah made one good chance in the final third but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a couple of inviting chances for his teammates to score and was not shy of having a strike at goal.<\/p>\n

LW: Florian Wirtz \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz was a real menace in the final third and was replaced in the 72nd minute.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few driving runs with the ball but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

LB: Andy Robertson \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good chance from the left flank.<\/p>\n
