Manchester City welcomed Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie. The Mancunian giants made a decent start to the game but found themselves a man down in the 20th minute when Bernardo Silva received a red card. Vinicius Junior put the visitors 1-0 ahead from the penalty spot just a couple of minutes later. However, Erling Haaland scored the equaliser for Man City in the 41st minute. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Vinicius Junior scored the winner for Real Madrid in injury time as the ten-men of Man City crashed to a tough 2-1 loss at the Etihad (5-1 on aggregate).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made his fair share of saves during the game, but failed to keep a clean sheet on both halves.<\/p>\n

RB: Matheus Nunes \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nunes failed to impress during his time on the field and was replaced in the 56th minute.<\/p>\n

CB: Abdukodir Khusanov \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and was good on the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: Ruben Dias \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to give a good account of himself in the first 45 minutes and was substituted at half-time.<\/p>\n

LB: Rayan Ait-Nouri \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and had some bright moments going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Bernardo Silva \u2013 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silva let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 20th minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Rodri \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to protect his backline but caught the eye at times in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Tijjani Reijnders \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reijnders was full of energy and running in the middle of the park.<\/p>\n

RW: Rayan Cherki \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused some headaches for his marker but failed to find the back of the net.<\/p>\n

ST: Erling Haaland \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Haaland was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to score the equaliser for Man City in the 41st minute.<\/p>\n

He made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and has got nothing to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n
