Aston Villa entertained Lille at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League last-16 tie. The Villans made a bright start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

John McGinn scored the opener in the 54th minute before Leon Bailey put daylight between the two sides as he scored in the 86th minute. The match ended with Unai Emery\u2019s men securing a solid 2-0 win on the night (3-0 on aggregate).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Aston Villa<\/a> player fared during the clash against Lille.<\/p>\n

GK: Emiliano Martinez \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martinez made one good save at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Lamare Bogarde \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared his lines when he could but offered very little in the final third.<\/p>\n

CB: Victor Lindelof \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lindelof made one crucial clearance at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard earned the ball back once and was accurate with his passing.<\/p>\n

He made two crucial clearances inside his half and made one positive run on the left flank.<\/p>\n

RW: Jadon Sancho \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sancho caused a few headaches for his marker and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

CM: Amadou Onana \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield with conviction and was not shy of having a strike at goal.<\/p>\n

CM: Douglas Luiz \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Luiz caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

McGinn worked hard inside the opponent\u2019s half and did well to score in the 54th minute.<\/p>\n
