Barcelona welcomed Rayo Vallecano at the Nou Camp earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in La Liga. The Catalan club made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 24th minute when Ronald Araujo found the back of the net. Hansi Flick\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 to the good.<\/p>\n

The Catalan giants managed to defend their slender advantage well in the second 45 minutes and earned a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home fans.<\/p>\n

GK: Joan Garcia \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves at the back and secured a crucial clean sheet this afternoon.<\/p>\n

Araujo was solid when defending inside his half and made one key chance going forward. He deserves credit for scoring the only goal of the contest in the 24th minute.<\/p>\n

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

LB: Joao Cancelo \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a decent performer on both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

CM: Marc Bernal \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bernal got stuck in with some solid tackles and made one good run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: Pedri \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well and ran the show inside the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

RW: Lamine Yamal \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yamal was a constant menace in the final third and was replaced in the 81st minute.<\/p>\n

CAM: Fermin Lopez \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused a few headaches for his marker, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

Raphinha caught the eye at times on the left flank but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n
