Onana recounted a memorable moment involving his sister. She tried to reach him repeatedly that day. When he finally answered, she told him his new manager wanted to speak with him. Onana admitted he already knew the caller\u2019s identity. However, he still needed a double-take to process the reality. He described Lampard as a true football legend. His reputation stretched far beyond English shores. Onana grew up in Senegal and watched the Premier League on television. Playing in the Prem was always a dream and he was the one that gave me the opportunity. He just had the flair, you know, he could smell it, where to be, what to do, so I learned a lot from him.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Onana joined Aston Villa<\/a> in July 2024. The deal cost \u00a350 million. This nearly doubled the fee Everton originally paid. Now 24 years old, Onana plays regularly for the Belgium national team.
