On Saturday\u2019s print edition<\/a>, Italian newspaper Il Giornale mentioned that Arsenal<\/a> are locked in a three-way battle for Newcastle United<\/a> ace Sandro Tonali. It has been claimed that the Gunners are facing competition in the form of Manchester United and Manchester City in the race to land the Italy international next summer.<\/p>\n

Tonali\u2019s Impressive Form In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tonali has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Tyneside club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 25-year-old has registered three goals and grabbed seven assists in 47 matches for Newcastle this season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The Italian talent is currently among the best central midfielders in the Premier League, so it is no surprise that the Gunners are in the running to land him this off-season.<\/p>\n

His current contract at Newcastle will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Arsenal to snap him up on a cut-price deal in the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n

Arsenal Are Locked In A Three-Way Battle For Tonali: Is He Worth The Fight?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tonali is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his side in the middle of the park. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and has also got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to score.<\/p>\n

The Italian sensation can strike the ball with venom from long range. He has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.<\/p>\n

We can expect Tonali to bring more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta\u2019s midfield. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.<\/p>\n

At 25, Tonali has got his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Gunners to pursue this summer.
