In a recent interview<\/a>, former scout Mick Brown claimed that Leeds United are keeping tabs on the situation of Nottingham Forest ace James McAtee. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cLeeds have been long-term admirers of McAtee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey missed out last season when he went to Nottingham Forest, but obviously things haven\u2019t worked out there so he could be available this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether he will be as keen on that move, I\u2019m not sure, because he hasn\u2019t ever managed to impress in the Premier League when he\u2019s been away from Man City.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had my doubts when I used to watch him at Sheffield United, and then he went to City and did okay when he was called upon, but it\u2019s easy going it at City.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe real challenge has been whether he can go to Nottingham Forest and make them a better side, and he hasn\u2019t been able to do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo then what makes Leeds think he would do it for them?<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom his point of view, I expect a move to a European club might suit his game better where he has a bit more time to show off his technial abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeeds will be interested because they\u2019ve been after him for a while, but I\u2019m not sure it would be the right move for them or for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

McAtee\u2019s Impressive Season At The City Ground<\/strong><\/h3>\n

McAtee has played an important role in Nottingham\u2019s squad during this Premier League<\/a> campaign. The English attacker has scored one goal and secured one assist in 20 matches for the Midlands club this season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old\u2019s current contract at the City Ground will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for the Whites to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.<\/p>\n

Will McAtee Be A Good Fit For Leeds United Boss Daniel Farke?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

McAtee is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.<\/p>\n

The English sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. He is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if needed.<\/p>\n

McAtee would undoubtedly improve the quality of Leeds<\/a> boss Daniel Farke\u2019s attack. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Elland Road.<\/p>\n
