Liverpool faced off against Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes earlier tonight as they hoped to grind out a result in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 11th minute when Desire Doue found the back of the net. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled his side\u2019s lead in the 65th minute as Liverpool crashed to a lackluster 2-0 loss in Paris.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a handful of important saves at the back and kept the scoreline respectable for his team.<\/p>\n

RWB: Jeremie Frimpong \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Frimpong failed to impress defensively but got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He looked shaky at the back and could have given away two penalties in the second half, but got bailed out by VAR.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk failed to organise his backline and put in a disjointed performance on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Joe Gomez \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gomez mopped up the danger when he could, but lacked quality on the ball.<\/p>\n

LWB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when he could and had a couple of lively moments going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch was full of energy and running at the centre of the park, but failed to impress in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He lacked quality on the ball and failed to protect his teammates at the back.<\/p>\n

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szoboszlai tried to make things happen, but never got a sniff at goal.<\/p>\n

ST: Florian Wirtz \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was always willing to get on the ball, but often lost it without much effort.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ekitike wasted one decent chance in the final third but was mostly quiet.<\/p>\n
