Barcelona faced off against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Catalan club made a dream start to the game as they grabbed the lead in the fourth minute when Lamine Yamal found the back of the net. Ferran Torres doubled his team\u2019s advantage in the 24th minute, but Ademola Lookman got a goal back for Barcelona just seven minutes later. Hansi Flick\u2019s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Barcelona pushed on to level the score on aggregate but found themselves at a numerical disadvantage in the 79th minute when Eric Garcia was sent off by the referee. The Catalan giants ended up securing a narrow 2-1 win at the Nou Camp, but got knocked out of the Champions League after losing the tie 3-2 on aggregate.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Barcelona<\/a> player fared during the clash against Atletico Madrid.<\/p>\n

GK: Joan Garcia \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Jules Kounde \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kounde performed his defensive duties well and was strong in the air.<\/p>\n

CB: Eric Garcia \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending, but let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 79th minute.<\/p>\n

CB: Gerard Martin \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martin gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was good on the ball.<\/p>\n

LB: Joao Cancelo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cancelo caught the eye at times at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CM: Pedri \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence on both halves and was tidy with his passing.<\/p>\n

CM: Gavi \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gavi offered solid protection for his teammates at the back but failed to make a difference going forward.<\/p>\n

RW: Lamine Yamal \u2013 9.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did well to score an early goal and was a constant menace in the final third.<\/p>\n

CAM: Fermin Lopez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lopez made one promising run with the ball, but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

LW: Dani Olmo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused some headaches for his marker and ended the game with an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

ST: Ferran Torres \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Torres was a real threat up top and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

ST: Robert Lewandowski \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.<\/p>\n

LW: Marcus Rashford \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rashford made one key chance in the final third.<\/p>\n
